‘We are really excited about UKYCC’s Youth for Green Jobs Campaign. Green Jobs that; are long term, encourage skills development, pay a living wage and have environmental stewardship at their core, are the only way out of the environmental, and economic, crises we are currently in. There needs to be vastly increased availability of, and access to, Green Jobs, particularly for young people. We find this campaign really inspiring and hope that industries and policymakers will listen and feel compelled work together urgently to make this vital vision a reality’

To address the global challenges facing our economy and climate, we must transform society within a single generation. When these issues combine with deep recession and record youth unemployment, young people face fundamental hurdles. Our vision is to help equip young people to meet these deep-rooted challenges, by matching them up with the fundamental work that needs to be done to transition to a green and decent economy.
